Does team Canada have a chance at a bronze medal in basketball in the 2016 olympics?
Anthony Bennett, Kelly Olynyk, Tristan Thompson, Joell Anthony, the entire Joseph family, Dalembert, Andrew Wiggins, Robert Sacre, Andrew Nicholson.
Doesnt sound completely horrible.
It is currently very very likely that there will be 2 Canadian #1 draft picks in a row, I doubt both will be busts.

NBA Draft 2013: Boston Celtics select Kelly Olynyk with No. 13 pick ...
The Boston Celtics traded for the Dallas Mavericks' No. 13 pick, and they used it to take Gonzaga center Kelly Olynyk. It's an especially interesting selection as trade talks swirl around Kevin Garnett.
Do you see George Karl as the potential coach for the Philadelphia 76ers?
George Karl is originally from Pennsylvania and still maintains his off-season home in Pennsylvania with his family. Like the Nuggets the Sixers are structured quite similarly in that they like to push the tempo and get into the paint. The team has talent with JRue Holiday, Thad Young, and Spencer Hawes all being good players. He could try and get Evan Turner to play more consistent and the team has a ton of cap space if they let Bynums walk out with the large contract of his as opposed to resigning him. Nick Young would leave but maybe Philly can replace him with a better option like Corey Brewer. Brewer playing for him on the Nuggets is also a FA and may go to Karls team. They are also projected to draft Kelly Olynyk in the 1st round.
Not to mention this season Philly won 34 games without Bynum their supposed franchise player playing a single game this season. Thad Young their most versatile player also missed some games. Yet they finished only 4 games behind Milwaukee for the final spot in the playoffs and they didnt have the same injury problems either.
Answer: I would say let Bynum walk. Draft a future big man or local scorer CJ McCollum.
We loose:
Kwame Brown (Player option)
Andrew Bynum
Royal Ivey
Damien Wilkins
Dorell Wright
Nick Young
Charles Jenkins
I would suggest this new line/up-
Coach: George Karl or Byron Scott
Starters
PG: Jrue Holiday
SG: Tyreke Evans (through FA)
SF: Andre Iguodala or Josh Smith (through FA) - 1 or 2 year deal - see below
PF: Thad Young
C: Spencer Hawes
That would be one of the most athletic teams in the league and they would just need to get a few shooters to rotate in (healthy J-Rich).
Bench
PG: Randy Foye (through FA)
SG: Jason Richardson
SG/SF: Evan Turner (he should be the #1 option for the second team)
PF/C: Arnett Moultrie
PF/C: Rookie or pickup a scrappy rebounder in Tyler Hansbrough (he is a R-FA)
I feel like Foye and Evans could have new life playing back in Philly and are low risk high reward players. AI or Smith is not necessary (and probobly will look for max contract deals or long term) even though we have the cap room to do it. I would suggest a conservative (2 year out plan) and start Turner at the 3 and just sign another FA like Lamar Odom or Brewer to a one year deal and still be ready to grab an all-star in next years FA.

Time to play NBA Mock Draft 4.0?
Time for another round of a Mock Draft since now its only 4 days away
Again only the lottery teams; Wednesday Ill think about doing all 30 but here are the other 3 Ive done:

Here we go:
1. Cavs- Nerlens Noel: Even with his knee injury looks to be the the first pick overall. Has good size and is a good defender and shot blocker. Offensive skills very limited but if worked hard on that would be a nice fit with Waiters and Irving
Magic- A go to guy needed here; Jameer Nelson era is over so Trey Burke seems like a good replacement
Wizards: void at SF, help wanted so Washington should get Otto Porter here
Bobcats: Any help needed with Charlotte at this point and theyll be happy to take big man Alex Len here as the rebuilding process continues
5. Suns: Big man needed but ive heard the Suns dont like Anthony Bennett very much and will be happy to have Ben Mclemore fall to them
6. Pelicans: None of the players they wanted are available anymore so the next best option is to go with Victor Oladipo here even though N.O probably needs a PG
7. Kings- Heard Sacramento likes Michael Carter Williams here so it makes sense they draft him. One thought tho dont the Kings already have Issiah Thomas as their future PG?
8. Pistons- scoring help needed and a good option would be CJ McCollum here and have hom or Brandon Knight slide to the 2 position
9. T-Wolves: Scoring also needed with Minnesota so why not Kentavious Caldwell-Pope here who can score in bunches
10. Blazers; Since both CJ and Kentavious are off the board their best option is to strengthen their bench and Anthony Bennett has fallen so far his free fall ends here
11. Sixers: Once again Andrew Bynum was a bust in Philedelphia so to make up for lost time Steven Adams seems like a nice fit here. A big man who is athletic but very raw offensively
12. Thunder: Broken record I feel like again but Kendrick Perkins was non existent in the playoffs so theyre gonna need to replace him. Cody Zeller goes here
13. Mavs: Have no clue what to do here since Dallas is desperate to trade out of this spot to get some more cap space but I guess Kelly Olynyk goes here with no better option
14. Jazz: I think we all know what Utah needs and its a glaring one too. PG has been needed ever since Deron Williams was traded to NJ and so its finally time to fill that gap. Shane Larkin was impressive with his work out in Utah and rumors say they are targeting him at 14. Athletic guard who can shoot and distribute the ball pretty well. Size may play a factor though as Larkin only stands 511
So thoughts overall? Good? Bad? Awful? Great? Thoughts and opinions always appreciated :p

5 reasons Kelly Olynyk is a great pick -Celtics blog - Boston Globe ...
15 hours ago ... There's reason to question whether or not Kelly Olynyk is the right guy. Here are five reasons why he is.
Basketball: Lets play NBA Mock Draft 2.0???????
Here is the first one I did about 2 weeks ago: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AojKzDhwpLBwdqWVM5taUGTsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20130521195500AACK4uP
2 weeks have gone by and I say its time for another one so here we go!
1. Cavs: No matter what people say here I still like Nerlens Noel to go here. Could be a nice tandem with Irving even with his knee injury
2. Magic- Scoring and a go to guy is needed here: Go Ben Mclemore
3. Wizards: Void at SF since Ariza has sucked in Washington. No better to pick than Otto Porter
4. Bobcats: They need everything but yet most of the best players are off the board here. Anthony Bennet may be the best option here
5. Suns- Big man needed for Phoenix, go Cody Zeller here.
6. Pelicans- Vasquez could be gone via free agency so to fill his spot will be Trey Burke
7. Kings- Terrible roster also but need to start somewhere. Choose Victor Oladipo
8. Pistons- Scoring here is an issue, CJ McCollum would help
9. T-Wolves: Another team that needs scoring help. Surprise pick here Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
10. Blazers- Lillard cant do it all himself so add Shabazz Muhammed along side him. A risky move yes but could pay off in the long run
11. Sixers- to make up for the bust that Bynum was Steven Adams will help Philadelphia forget about him
12. Thunder- Perkins was non existent in the playoffs so OKC wants to replace him and fast! Alex Len goes here
13. Mavs- Ive heard they want to trade out of the first round but lets not make this complicated and say Dallas picks Kelly Olynyk here.
14. Jazz- Point Guard! Point Guard! Point Guard! Have I expressed that enough? Utah needs a PG here and Michael Carter Williams falls to them and starts on game 1
so here is the 2.0 NBA Mock Draft for the lottery teams
So, what do you think? Good? bad? Thoughts and opinions always appreciated :p
Answer: I think Otto Porter is a great fit for the Washington Wizards. I got persuaded into that. Porter and the Wiz look to be a sure fit.

So please answer because this took a long time to do like a solid hour. I did this because someone I know have this feud between which team is better, me in favor of University of Washington
Answer: Wins and rankings aside, the Washington Huskies sound like the more well-rounded contenders (this opinion is from the posted stats above; I'm more of an NBA fan). They seem to have a roster full of not only talented starters, but talented bench players as well, and that is the sign of a great team. Don't get me wrong, the Bulldogs look impressive too, especially since both teams seem to share the ball a lot judging from that significant number of assists and score an enormous amount of points for college players, but in a head-to-head matchup I'd take Washington without hesitation.
By the way, I admire the amount of work you put into writing this question and regret that you haven't gotten more serious answers.

And again only lottery this time; maybe later ill do all 30 teams
here we go:
1. Cavs: Otto Porter would be a good fit here along side Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving and also fills th void at SF
2. Magic- scoring is necessary here; go Ben Mclemore
3. Wizards- disappointed they couldnt get Otto Porter but next best choice is a big man. Target Anthony Bennet here
4.Bobats: lots of help needed here and go with the best option which is probably Nerlens Noel here. Also most likely the best fit team wise
5. Suns: Big man help wanted; Alex Len seems to be a solid fit
6. Pelicans: Vasquez might leave via free agency so PG is an issue; No better option than Trey Burke
7. Kings- Also a lot of help needed on this team; Victor Oladipo here to play along side Isaiah Thomas
8. Pistons- scoring help here too but also maybe an upgrade as PG and put Brandon Knight as a SG? Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a great shooter and keep Knight as a PG
9. T-wolves: scoring help also needed. Hes falling down fast on draft boards but yet has a lot of talent still. How bout Shabazz Muhammad
10. Blazers: CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard would be a nice tandem
11. Sixers: Andrew Bynum was a huge bust and need to replace him. Steven Adams seems like a good fit here
12. Thunder: Bench help or replace Kendrick Perkins here? I would choose the latter half since he was non existent in the playoff, and the Thunder can add depth to their bench in free agency. Cody Zeller goes here
13. Mavs: Still hearing Mark Cuban is desperate to trade this pick, but no options yet. Kelly Olynyk to replace an old and injury prone Chris Kaman
14. Jazz: I think we all know the position Utah needs here; PG is a major issue and their prayers may have been answered. Michael Carter Williams falls to Utah and starts immediately
So what do you think? Good? Bad? Decent? Great? Thoughts and opinions always appreciated :p
Answer: Nice, but
I think the Cavs might be a little well suited to get Noel. They do take a risk on his injury, but everyone is expecting him to come back and be 100%. The cavs need a big man because Varajo is done and Zeller isn't the answer at C. He's best suited as a backup.
I don't see why the Pelicans will take Burke like many think they will because I think Vasquez has been a pretty good pg. He does his job well, so I'd be surprised to see them pick up another PG. He has a year left on his contract.
I also don't see the Mavs passing up on MCW. They have no one at PG and this would be a good move for them. How would you like if the kings traded their 7th and Fredette for Jazz's 14 and 21?
I think with the 7th, the Jazz could either get Burke or MCW. With the 14th, kings would have a slim chance of getting Pope, if not him then SF Franklin or Bullock

Should the Sixers draft Mason Plumlee at No. 11?
Hed most certainly fill a need at the big man position, though we still dont know what we have in Arnett Moultrie due to Doug Collins being inpatient and not giving him enough minutes. Mason Plumlee, brother of Miles Plumlee who currently plays for the Indiana Pacers would bring a huge explosion to this Sixers offense regardless of who the head coach is. The guys an athletic freak and his dunks alone would send a shock throughout the whole arena. It seems Kelly Olynyk would be nothing more than another version of Spencer Hawes at center and really wouldnt make much sense. Does it really makes sense to have an almost identical copy of a player you already have?
Plumlee has averaged 17.1 Points Per Game, 9.9 Rebounds, and 1.4 in Blocks. Plenty that can be worked on, but theres no denying this guy will kill it on the offensive side of the ball. He has the physical tools, he has an NBA Ready body at 6 11.5" at 240 pounds, freakish athlete and jumper for his frame and position, runs the floor well with great energy and making strong finishes at the rim. With Plumlee, they could easily plug him in at Center and plug Moultrie in at power forward. Either way he gives you versatility at power forward and center.
That would make a good frontcourt in my eyes. He relies heavily on athleticism and is excellent at rebounding the ball. Which is what the Sixers may need, I cant imagine having to rely on Hawes to play defense and collect rebounds. Makes me kind of miss Nikola Vucevic on the night he grabbed for eighteen rebounds while Hawes only grabbed for one. With Plumlee, I doubt he would get beat out like that, but you need more than athleticism. Yes, athleticism is a nice tool to have but you will need to learn techniques to succeed in this league.
I also considered Cody Zeller as another option at big man as well. Yes, hes scouted to be better and have a more successful career than both his brothers, and hes offensively gifted. Same goes for Olynyk, but they wont cut it on defense. Olynyk is more of a replica of Hawes than Zeller is. Then again, the problem with Plumlee is, hes not a threat in terms of a shooter. He mostly gets his points from inside under the bucket and dunking. But if youre to draft a big man with physicality, explosiveness, and athleticism, Plumlee may be your guy at No. 11.
Answer: basically i think the sixers drafting any big man would be a huge upgrade our team is ver good we just don't have a solid big man hopefully if bynum stops being a nut he can fill that void and well be a contender

Kelly Olynyk Traded to Boston Celtics: Scouting Report and Analysis ...
17 hours ago ... With the No. 13 pick of the 2013 NBA draft, the Dallas Mavericks selected Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga University and subsequently traded to the ...
2013 NBA Mock Draft (May version)?
This years a crapshoot, but what the heck? Lottery only. Give your comments and share your mock drafts with explanations.
1st pick - Cleveland Cavs selects FC Nerlens Noel
Nobody else makes sense here. They have a backcourt in Irving and Waiters (if he ever starts playing defense). They need inside help with Varejao so injury prone. Noel would help the Cavs defensively, where they were pretty bad last year.
2nd pick - Orlando Magic selects PG Trey Burke
Most years Burke isnt worthy of a second overall pick given his size, but McLemore doesnt wow me and they really could use a tough playmaker like this.
3rd pick - Washington Wizards selects F Anthony Bennett
McLemore is still here, but with Bradley Beal theyll look to fill a need--SF. That means either Otto Porter or Bennett will go here, and while Porters solid and Bennett a bit of a tweener, its hard to play it too safe in such a weak draft. Theyll opt for the guy with higher upside.
4th pick - Charlotte Bobcats selects G Ben McLemore
What a gift for Charlotte it would be if McLemore fell this far! They need a two-guard and McLemores the best in the draft.
5th - Phoenix Suns selects G Victor Oladipo
Porter falls again, which wouldnt surprise me. The Suns need a big hit here, and Porters solid, but Oladipo has a much higher ceiling. He would help give them a more explosive backcourt.
6th - New Orleans Pelicans selects F Otto Porter
The Hornets have some pieces, but Aminu is more of an energy garbage man at the three spot. Porter would give them a different kind of glue guy who could help right away.
7th - Sacramento Kings selects F Cody Zeller
The Kings need a lot of things, but most of all they need a point guard. Michael Carter-Williams is a possibility, but Zeller is a much safer pick. His athleticism and work ethic could make him a strong fit at PF alongside Cousins.
8th - Detroit Pistons selects PG Michael Carter-Williams
This guy could climb like crazy or drop like a rock. At 6-6 with great passing ability, hes extremely intriguing and with Brandon Knight more of a scorer, MCW could be a nice fit to play alongside him.
9th pick - Minnesota Timberwolves selects G C.J. McCollum
Kevin Love asked for a shooter, so if McCollums available I cant see them passing on him. Some say he has a bit of Stephen Curry in him.
10th - Portland Trail Blazers selects C Alex Len
Great size and abilities but if hes not taken in the top six or so, he could drop to ten or later. It will just depend on when the bigs start going. The Blazers have been looking for a big to play with Aldridge for awhile and Lens combination of physical play and footwork could make him ideal.
11th - Philadelphia 76ers selects C Steven Adams
This might surprise some with Kelly Olynyk still on the board, but while the Sixers need size as insurance for Andrew Bynum, they already have Spencer Hawes, whos extremely underrated. Olynyk does many of the same things Hawes does. Adams is big and tough and plays with a lot of energy at the defensive end, which fills a need for them. They also need a two-guard, which makes Caldwell-Pope a possibility.
12th - OKC Thunder selects FC Kelly Olynyk
The Thunder need a backup big and backup point guard, but they also need offense. Olynyks defense and athleticism is in question, but his IQ and offense would make him a nice fit in stretches when theyd need it.
13th - Dallas Mavericks selects PG Dennis Schroeder
Mavericks could go a lot of different ways, but getting a point who can push the ball like Schroeder might be a good bet
14 - Utah Jazz selects PG Shane Larkin
The Jazz need a point guard and will take either Schroeder or Larkin here if theyre available.
Thoughts? Your mocks?
14th
Answer: I can agree that Noel is the undisputed number one at this point...barely, but I have a different scenario when it comes to the rest of the mock picks...
2) Orlando: Ben McLemore
I can understand that Burke fills the need of a PG and this day and age, a good PG can only take you so far. However, the Magic are concentrating on their future and while Burke is a solid player, McLemore is arguably the second best player out there. He has a shooting stroke that rivals to Ray Allen and Stephen Curry, while also possess an athletic gift to dunk. B-Mac can do it all in his position and he can only get better as the year goes by.
3) Washington: Otto Porter
The Wizards need help big time. None of the players can stay healthy for most of the season and somebody has to pick up the slack when John Wall goes down. I'm not saying that Porter will stay healthy and be great, but I'm saying that he can step in right away and be the man when somebody goes down.
4) Charlotte: Victor Oladipo
Oladipo is a solid shooter, but the Bobcats needs defense and he fills that need on both ends of the floor. Along with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, they should the best two young defenders on their team that in major need of one.
5) Phoenix: C.J. McCollum
The Suns need scoring quick and new head coach Jeff Hornacek has favor shooters in his roster, so I would be surprise if McCollum was pick in this spot. He reminds me of a better version of Eric Gordon with range.
6) New Orleans: Trey Burke
The Pelicans could make noise with Burke, as the needed an heir apprentice to CP3 as the face of the franchise to go along with Anthony Davis. Grevis Vazquez has did well as a PG, but Burke is a long-term solution.
7) Sacramento: Cody Zeller
8) Detroit: Michael Carter-Williams
9) Minnesota: Shabazz Muhammad
The Wolves needs a wingman that can shoot and the Bazz could be the best the Wolves can get to solve that problem.
10) Portland: Anthony Bennett
The Blazers like to fill that spot with a big man, but their biggest problem last season was minutes coming from the bench. Four of the five starters from last season were in the top 20 in MPG (Minutes per game), ranging from 34 to 38 minutes. None of the bench player even reach 20, which is why the fatigue kick in for Portland late into the season. Bennett is a combo forward that can play both SF and PF, giving guys like LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum some breather, while at least solving some of the bench problem.
11) Philadelphia: Alex Len
The Sixers has some good wing players, but they sorely need a big man and there ready to move on with the Andrew Bynum disaster. Len may not do much, but he's a serviceable player that can do what he suppose to do, which is provide size and presence as a big man on a team full of shooters.
12) OKC: Kelly Olynyk
13) Dallas: Dennis Schroder
14) Utah: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
The Jazz has some nice shooters on the roster, but one more is never too many with KCP still on the board.

This time I will do all 30 teams; Here we go!
1. Cavs: Alex Len- Rumors are heating up that Len is going here from what Ive read the last couple of hours. They also apparently wanted nothing to do with Noel from the start
2. Magic- A go to guy here is needed and so lets go Ben Mclemore here. Can create his own shot, can shoot the ball very well too. If its down to crunch time go to Ben
3. Wizards- John Wall and Bradley Beal are a nice back court but they need front court help. Noel has fallen so this is perfect for him
4. Bobcats- Any help is necessary with the Bobcats but their options are kinda limited here now since Noel, Len and Mclemore are off the board; And with already having a SF I guess you go Anthony Bennett here
5. Suns: Also need a big man since they have a plethora of guards here although dont be suprisred if they do pick up one. and thats exactly where im going with this; Victor Oladipo here
6. Pelicans: PG needed here and N.O is happy to have Trey Burke fall here.
7. Kings- Still hearing the Kings really like Michael Carter Williams. So well just say hes drafted here
8. Detroit- Kentavoius-Caldwell-Pope should ho here. After thinking about it more this is probably his best place here. Keep Knight at PG and Ppoe plays his position at SG
9. T-Wolves: Otto Porter surprisingly has fallen kinda far and so he ends up here. Sure doesnt make sense at first but replaces Kirilenko in the long run
10. Blazers: They need another shooter and are happy to have CJ McCollum fall here
11. Sixers: Big man needed here since Andrew Bynum was a big bust. Steven Adams here.
12. Thunder: Saddened the best big man are off the board and its slim pickings now; Do they reach a bit and pick Rudy Gobert who is 72 with a 79 wing span? Or go simple and go Kelly Olynyk? Lets go with the latter half
13. Dallas- Still trying to desperately move out of this pick but with no options available Mark Cuban selects Russian SF sergey karasev who has been a hot commodity the last week or so in tempting one team in a trade
14. Jazz- Surprisingly the last few days rumors out of Utah is this pick is going with a big man though I dont honestly know why but the Jazz Organization usually sticks to their word; Cody Zeller here
15. Bucks- with a projected depleted back court almost happening this summer they need an up tempo guard. Shane Larkin fits well here
16. Celtics- Doc Rivers is off the LA but Garnett is left behind.... how do you think he feels about that? anyhow with Kevin aging at a rapid pace they need to replace him; Gorgui Deing who is great defensively could replace him.
17. Hawks- Shabazz Muhammed should go here with the way Atlanta plays; Isolation plays is what best suits him. He goes here
18. Hawks-Lucas Nogueira; Josh Smith just might be leaving Atlanta.
19. Cavs- Tim Haradway Jr goes here as he is a great spot up shooter and with Irving passing hi the ball that will work out well
20. Bulls- Issiah Cannan; Nate Robinson might be gone Cannan replaces him
21. Jazz- gambled and paid off not taking a PG at 14. A work in project but will help in the long run. Dennis Schroeder
22. Nets- Mason Plumlee to help out Lopez down low
23. Pacers- bench help here; Jamaal Franklin helps
24. Knicks- ummmm? Allan Crabbe I guess (haha)
25. Clippers- Tony Mitchell makes sense here
26. Minnesota- hearing they like Ricky Ledo here
27. Denver: adding more depth to their team; Tony Snell here
28. Spurs- Trevor Mwbakwe- maybe a reach here but Spurs know their draft stuff
29. OKC- Rudy Gobert makes sense here
30. Cavs: SF void to fill; Giannis Adetokoubo here
so what do you think? thoughts and opinions always appreciated :p
Answer: Nice, but I don't see the kings passing up on Porter. We have no true SF and I'm not high on MCW. He was destroyed by Burke...
Sucks I'm going to miss this draft... does anyone know where I can stream it into my phone? ...
