Answer: They just try to accomodate everyone and make everyone happy in the easiest way possible. For instance, if your town has their summer fair on a certain day and you want to have a parade that day then you might be able to get it for that time.
Sidney Crosby's Birthday is August 7th (thus 8-7) so he was able to get it for his Birthday.

Why is the Blackhawks Parade on Friday?

Why is the Blackhawks celebration parade on Friday? Wouldnt it make sense for it to be on Saturday, when more people can attend? I remember that the White Sox parade was also during the week. Why?

Answer: The city is already usually very crowded on weekends with other events, museums, etc. Toss in the Crosstown Classic this weekend... there is no way they could afford to shutdown city streets over the weekend.

Whats the history of the BlackHawk motorcycle club?

Im curious to know the history behind this riding club. Its a large club in our area and I have friends that ride within it, and am interested in learning more about its roots

Answer: Established, Hamilton, Canada

Our club was founded in 1938 by an avid group of motorcycle enthusiasts. The Black Hawks Motorcycle Club soon became a familiar sight on the streets of Hamilton and surrounding highways. The City of Hamilton often asked the Black Hawks to assist them to escort events such as the Santa Clause parade, the around the Bay road race and other functions involving the use of motorcycles as outriders and traffic control.



The club became well known for our charitable nature with such events as Toy runs, Food drives and the famous “Blood Run”, the first of its kind that also un-nerved the community until they learned that it was our Club Members donating blood to the Red Cross.



In 1939 and 1940 our members were actively sought out by Military recruiters for their expertise on motorcycles to be used as couriers and dispatch riders during the Second World War. Several returned to the club after the war ended.



The original clubhouse, still standing and privately owned, is located just outside Dundas, Ontario. It was a favourite gathering place for many motorcycle enthusiasts of the day. Touring the countryside, field days, competitions, charity events and even a highly skilled precision squad, complete with uniforms, were the order of the day.



As we are one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in North America, our mission is to maintain a strong historical flavour with our club presence. We still have a handful of members who have been riding as far back as 1957 – 58 and still ride today. Many of our members are often stopped by the public and told their parents or grandparents were members of years gone by. The club of old, befriended many other clubs and still maintains strong ties to these organizations.



Our emphasis on member loyalty, camaraderie and trust, is what sets us apart from our contemporaries. This, coupled with our strong sense of tradition and history in motorcycling, allows us to enjoy our chosen sport to the fullest.

So Im going to the Blackhawks parade with my manfriend and just wanted to girly up my oversized jersey for it! Ive already done skinny jeans and pumps, leggings and flats, rolled up sleeves. I was wondering if anybody had an idea how to wear it thatd be cute and fun and weather Appropriate. The jersey reaches about 8.5-9 inches above my knee. I have short hair, so there isnt much room to make my hair a showcase part of the look. Thanks!

When the Black Hawks win the Stanley Cup will they have a parade in the middle of the Loop like they did for the White Sox? Or will it be a huge gathering in Grant Park like we always did six times for the Bulls?

When is rush hour driving into Chicago on Fridays?

Im driving from Iowa City to Chicago. When does the evening traffic INTO Chicago get bad? And when is the rush hour over?
Ill be driving to the Lincoln park area. Any suggested routes? It will probably be after 7 pm, thankfully.

Answer: Where, exactly, in Chicago are you going to be driving?

Are you going to be taking 88/290 into the city? Or 90?

Rush hour on Fridays lasts from about 230pm-7pm. Some interstates are better than others.

EDIT - Take 80 from Iowa City to 88. Take 88 all the way to Chicago. 88 will eventually turn into 290. Stay on 290 until you get to the Wacker Drive/Franklin Street exit.

Couple of notes - Don't forget to bring about $10 cash for tolls.
Also, if you are going this Friday, you may experience some additional traffic close to the city. The Blackhawks parade is tomorrow morning/afternoon in that exact area and I am sure the party will last all-day.

Answer: I would have to agree with the previous responses so far and be yourself.

Reason being though is because a first impression means alot when meeting someone or new people for the first time, and its alot easier to be yourself and get your true self out there from the start...than trying to put on a facade and lie and fake who you are....then you'll simply be miss-represented amoung the people you were introducing yourself too

I wouldn't overlly worry about it tbh...if you be yourself and they dont like you a whole lot...just let it go by the wayside...because not every relationship is based of lovey dovey repoir's with your significant others relatives,lol..

Just relax..go into it with a open mind...look your best and act casual and like you normally would. then once you do that...you can start to tone it down next time you see them...and more and more until u can show up in just sweatpants and tank top and they find it casual for it and are ok with it.
