Why is UFC lumped in with professional wrestling in Wrestling Observer awards?
UFC is legitamate fighting, not scripted sports entertainment. Boxing is more fake than UFC is.
Answer: The Ultimate Fighting Championship is The Largest Mixed Martial Arts Promotion in The United States. As you know, there are thousands of Mixed Martial Arts Promotions around The world, which is why I like watching MMA Uncensored because they give you updates not only on The UFC and Bellator, they give you updates on other Mixed Martial Arts Promotions. Pro Wrestling Observer covers Mixed Martial Arts and Professional Wrestling. If you don't like Pro Wrestling Observer covering Mixed Martial Arts, then I would advise you to start following publications that only cover Mixed Martial Arts.

How would UFC fights be different if there were no rules and fight to the death?
I dont know much about UFC but its entertaining to watch. My question is, what moves arent allowed? And if banned moves were allowed and the fight was to death, how much different would the fights look? Would the same fighters/ styles be just as dominant? Would the fighters be more conservative or more aggressive?
I know its a bit of a morbid question but Im just curious thats all.
Answer: They would suck, because everyone would just always go for the eyes and the balls.
In the UFC, a lot of moves aren't allowed. You can't knee or kick an opponent to the head when he is on the ground (like you can in Pride). You can't strike the back of an opponent's head (i.e. brain stem). You can't grab or pull your opponent's hair or clothing. And you can't do any small joint locks (I guess cuz they don't want a bunch of fighters with broken fingers and thumbs).
That's why MMA competitions are a lot different than "self-defense" which would include small joint locks, which are of course, super effective. I don't care how big some guy is. If you break his pinky, he's gonna be crying like a little bitch.
I think the fighters would be more afraid of being hit, but I still think the same fighting styles would be in there. Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, judo, boxing, wrestling would still be the most effective, cuz they're the most effective in real life!

The Downes Side: UFC 167 Predictions | UFC ® - News - UFC.com
UFC/WEC veteran Dan Downes talks strategy, betting odds and predictions for UFC 167, taking place Saturday, November 16.
Is the UFC going to continue to dominate MMA or will other organizations challenge?
Is the UFC going to be the NFL of MMA and the rest of the promotion companies arena football? Do you think it is best to have one true championship promotional company? Do you think the UFC has a fair ranking system?
Answer: Other org. are growing, such as k-1 Heroes, strikeforce, elitexc, and now m-1.
Only time will tell if they grow big enough to compete with UFC.
Monopolies are ALWAYS bad, competition always helps to excel and have higher standards, in this case to treat the fighters better.
UFC currently has NO ranking system, they decide who to have title shots based on fighter marketability.

In wwe and ufc, is there any guys in there that are 5 foot 4 and ripped?
Answer: Mighty mouse Johnson.
A-lot of the UFC flyweights.
It's possible and amazing. I'm short, I am considered by many who know me to be "ripped", but those UFC fighters are huge! Like 5 ft 3 and a ridiculously big and ripped.

What is an alternative to the UFC , that has different rules either more strict or more lenient?
I personally hate some of the UFC rules no small joint manipulation but you can manipulate large joints it is hypocritical.
You can not kick when a person is down but you can punch them while their down.
I rather see an organization in the US that has more rules or less rules so that I can find the fights more entertaining. Remember everyone has different preferences so keep negative comments to yourself.
Answer: "Small joint locks" is individual fingers and toes. Even in formats where those are allowed, I have *never* seen them end a fight, or even really attempted.
I don't know how many current MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) organizations have rules that differ from the Unified Rules, which is what the UFC holds it's events under. The rules themselves, in the US and Canada, are approved and enforced by the various athletic commissions at the state/provincial level, and ANY MMA organization must obey them, although they could put MORE restrictions on if they'd like.
Organizations with rules other than the full Unified rules:
Pride FC: defunct Japanese organization that banned elbow strikes to the head, but allowed stomps, knee strikes, and kicks to the head of a downed opponent. For most of their run, they had a ten-minute first round and two five-minute rounds following. Pride took place in a ring and allowed fighters to wear gear like wrestling shoes and martial arts outfits (the "gi" as it's called).
Pancrase: early Pancrase matches were very restricted. Closed-fist strikes to the head were illegal, ground-and-pound was discouraged, and the fighters wore padded boots. The fight took place in a ring, and if a fighter was in a submission hold, he could grab the ropes and the referree would break the hold.
Vale Tudo/old-school UFC: early fights were bare-knuckle, with biting and eye gouging being the only banned techniques. There were also no weight classes in early matches. Vale Tudo matches took place in Brazil, mostly in a ring. The UFC started adding rules restricting techniques around UFC 12 or so, not including the asinine "no punches to the head" at UFC 8, which nobody really followed anyway.
Daido Juku/Kudo: a Japanese martial art/sport that is a hybrid of full-contact karate and Judo. Allows for a variety of techniques, including headbutts. Fighters wear headgear with clear face guards.
IFL: the International Fight League was a short-lived organization that took place in a ring, and banned elbows to the head.
Cage Rage: a UK organization that, for many years, allowed kicks and stomps to the head of a downed opponent. Took place in a cage, as the name implies.
Shooto: a Japanese organization, and the first to require gloves. For many years, you could hit the back of the head, and a standing 8-count could be issued for a knockdown, as in boxing. I think it bans elbows to the head.

What A good way to become a bounty hunter or get in the ufc sources will be much appreciated links also?
I want to do two jobs the ufc or bounty hunting.
Answer: To get into the UFC:
Train and workout daily for 8 years. As a freshman in high school, if not before, start wrestling. Join your school's wrestling team and stick with it. For BJJ, do it 3+ years, so you're at least a competent blue belt--lessons a minimum of twice a week. For striking, 3+ years of kickboxing or Muay Thai. Then a year, minimum, of MMA classes to tie it all together. Fight as an amateur for 2 years, while continuing with your BJJ, wrestling, and striking. Work out at the gym for 2 hours a day. Turn pro. Compile a solid winning record. At that point, maybe (if you're very good, somewhat lucky), you just might possibly be able to get a UFC contract.
I don't know about becoming a bounty hunter, but I'm sure it's a quicker, easier path than getting into the UFC.
Hope that helps.

How do i become a UFC fighter when i grow up?
How do i become a UFC fighter when i grow up?
Answer: start out going to a ring in your city and try to start training.
Then start sparring wih other people.
Once your really good, stop the spar and have an actual match.
I'm assuming your living in somewhere busy like California or New York, so once your top notch, I'm talking 100-3, eventually you will have someone notice you, and that person knows the manager of UFC. The guy will tell him then you will have to prove yourself to him.

Why do UFC fighters get paid less compared to other professional athletes?
NFL NBA MLB all get paid more than ufc fighters and the ufc fighters take the most punishment it doesnt seem fair to me. And there is a shit load of money coming from the pay per view and clothing line so what happens to that?
Answer: NFL, NBA, MLB generates more money than the UFC.
I think that UFC fighters should be paid more, and get a cut of the video game profits and merchandise using their name/likeness. PPV cuts only go to about the top 6-7 guys right now, I think every fighter should get a chunk of the PPV's that they appear on, even if a fraction of a percent.

How would I register to become a ufc fighter?
I am planing on joining the ufc in a few years and I started to wonder how would I register for the ufc?
Answer: Start off with smaller and local professional mma promotions.

How is ufc and mma legal sports in the usa if they allow people to do drugs ?
UFC and MMA allow people to do steroids they dont even do drug tests how is it legal?
FYI they arent even blood tested and they can spread their diseases in the ring.
NO they are not tested because they let brock lesnar fight and hes does steroids. UFC and MMA is disgraceful and anyone who defends it.
Answer: Your question is so inaccurate its not even funny. ALL UFC fighters are randomly tested year round, and almost every fighter in a particular show is drug tested. MMA has the lowest rate of positive drug tests of any professional sports.
Likewise, your claim that they aren't blood tested is laughable. The fighters (UFC anyway) are required to get routine workups from their doctors prior to their fights. The required tests include blood, neural, and nervous system tests. More than one fighter has been pulled from a card because of a problem that cropped up at their physical (for instance, Thiago Alves was recently pulled from a card when his doctor detected a neural abnormality that he was unaware of. He had surgery and was back in the gym 3 weeks later). Any fighter found to have a transmissible blood borne illness cannot receive a license to fight in any state in the U.S.
In fact, according to the Journal of Sports Medicine and Science: "MMA fighters are given more care and precaution than athletes in any other sports organization in the world. With supervised fights, pre and post‐fight MRIs, four ringside doctors and two ambulances in case of emergency at each event and mandatory steroid testing – these organizations reach the highest levels of safety and quality in all aspects of the sport. Safer than boxing, no organization fighter has ever suffered a serious injury or death."
Next time, do a bit of reading before you start making such uneducated statements.
Edit: Oh really? You got a cite to support that or are you just pulling more crap out of your @ss? Brock Lesnar is one of the most heavily tested professional athletes of all time. Never once - not even back in his high school and college days - has he ever tested positive for steroids or any other illegal drug. I DARE YOU to prove otherwise.

How would Wanderlei Silva do in the middleweight division of the ufc?
He seems to small for the light heavyweight in the ufc. I think he could challenge Anderson Silva for the middleweight title.
Answer: wanderlei silva would probably do great as a middleweight in the ufc. how forgetful are people he was the only middleweight champion in pride until henderson beat him, and henderson's fighting for the unified title next (which he'll win) i'd love to see a rubber match between henderson and wandy.

Where should I start watching the UFC fights from?
Which number should I start watching the main UFC fights from? For example, I found UFC 01 but that is from 1993!!! A bit dated I think.
Answer: That depends on why your watching. If you want to know the history then watching UFC # 1 is fine. However if you want to know the fighters that fight now there are a number of things you can do.
You can record UFC Unleashed. (Good free way to learn about modern fighters)
You can buy DVD's. I like http://www.deepdiscount.com or http:/www.amazon.com
You can record The Best of Pride (Good free way to learn about the old Pride Fighting Championship, a lot of modern UFC fighters come from Pride.
You can record Ultimate Fight Night on Spike
You can also record UFC on Versus channel
