The number of mortgage fraud cases has grown so fast that government agencies that investigate and prosecute them cannot keep up, lenders and law enforcement officials have said. How long would it take to drive from Santa Barbara to LAX?

I need to drive from SB to LAX for a flight at 3:50, the only problem is I have class in the morning and the class ends at 12:30. Im going to estimate around 2 hours to drive from santa barbara to lax, and a little less if i book it down there. Do you think this is enough time to check in and so on. It is a domestic flight at 3:50 pm and I have no luggage to book, just need to get through security. Do you think thats enough time? I will also be putting my car in overnight parking for a couple of days, and get a shuttle, do you think i can make it? thanks all.

Answer: Urgh, thats kinda cutting it close. It could take you like 2 hours if traffic is heavy just to get from Santa Barbara to the LA Metro area (i.e. 405 and 101 intersection) and then from there another possible hour into LAX. Southbound 405 is always LOADED starting about 12N on so even if you hit no traffic most of the way you will for sure coming on 101 and approaching the 405. Also the PCH south (or another name for highway 1 out of Santa Barbara) is hit or miss. If the traffic isn't TOO bad but average LA you can probably make it curbside by 3:10, 3:20 at the latest. If its REALLY bad you probably get there right at 3:50 or after.

What is the best way to get from LAX to Venice Beach?

My husband is arriving at LAX at 10am from Melbourne and i am not arriving until 8pm from Canada. My husband will obviously be wanting to check in to our hotel at Venice Beach and then go back to the airport to meet me when my plane arrives. Does anyone know bus routes and the cheapest way to get to and fro LAX? Any suggestions would be gratly appreciated!

Answer: The cheapest way is by bus: Take a shuttle to the LAX City Bus Center. Then take Metro Rapid 3 to Lincoln and Venice Blvd. If he needs to go further, he can transfer to Metro bus 33 going west towards the ocean. Should be $1.50.

It's close enough for a taxi (which should run around $20), but I'm wondering why you don't rent a car? LA is very spread out, and taking the bus takes 3 times longer to go anywhere.

How to get from a domestic flight to an international flight at LAX airport?

Im flying on Southwest to LAX, then going to Chile.
How do u get from the domestic terminal to the international terminal?
Do u have to take a shuttle or can you walk?
And how long does it usually take?
Do I have to check my bags again?
and do I have to go through security again?
but most importantly how long does it take to get from terminal 1 to the international terminal?

Answer: You will arrive at Terminal 1 with Southwest and, if travelling with LAN Airlines to Chile, will need to get to TBIT (Tom Bradley International Terminal). This terminal is to be found between Terminals 3&4, as can be seen on the attached map.

You will need to collect your luggage, drop it off at the check-in of the airline you are flying to Chile with, and proceed through security. To get from one terminal to another you can catch the shuttle bus which runs every 12-15 minutes.

How long is the drive from Conan in Burbank to LAX in rush-hour traffic?

Going to a taping of Conan, which lets out at 18:30, but our flight leaves out of LAX at 21:00. Google says its a 40min drive, but I have no idea what to expect with rush-hour traffic. Does anyone think I can make this flight?

Answer: At LAX pick up your luggage, go out to the curb and look for a green overhead sign saying "Flyaway & Long Distance Shuttles" , and board the "Flyaway" bus. They're blue Greyhound type buses. They run every 30 minutes, and the trip takes about 40 minutes. The fare is $7.00 each way. It takes you to the Union Station.

What is the easiest way to get to LAX airport from Oceanside?

Im trying to catch a plane at 11:45pm at LAX on a Tuesday. I dont have anyone to take and was wondering if its easier to drive myself or use public transportation, or shuttle service. I would be leaving from Oceanside and get off work around 4:30pm.

Answer: I would recommend taking a Metrolink train from Oceanside to LA union station and then a Flyaway bus directly to LAX. Total cost wold be about $11 for the train portion and another $4 for the bus to LAX. The service is comfortable and reliable with a travel time of about 2 hours to LA plus 45 minutes to LAX. I plan to drive myself to LAX because a shuttle is to much, any way i plan to leave the car for a week. How much would it be?

Answer: It all depends on how far away you would like to park. I paid $5.00 a day and they had a shuttle to take you back and forth. There are Red, Blue and Green signs at the airport, the shuttle will tell you what color to be at. They usually have drivers waiting o take you to the airport and the wait on the return is usually about 5 min. The closer you get the more you pay. Look online for "LAX Parking Comparison".
