IMPROVED PATRIOTS CONCERN SEAHAWKS
How about this for irony: In the third game last season, the New England Patriots were losing to the Seattle Seahawks, 23-0, in the second quarter when Tony Eason replaced Steve Grogan at quarterback. Eason ran for one touchdown and passed for two others, leading the Patriots to the greatest comeback in their history, a 38-23 victory that established Eason as the starter and moved Grogan to the sideline for the rest of the season. Now, 24 regular-season games later, both the Patriots and the Seahawks are driving for division titles in the American Conference, and guess who the Patriots expect to start at quarterback when they engage the Seahawks Sunday in the Seattle Kingdome (4 P.M., Channel 4)?
