The New Jersey goth-punk band My Chemical Romance reached No. 2 with 240,000 sales of its new album, The Black Parade (Reprise), and Mr. Legend, who won three Grammy Awards this year, opened at No. 3 with Once Again (Columbia), selling 231,000. At this point, Adeles run at the top of the Billboard chart is titanic. Literally: This week Adeles 21 (XL/Columbia) notches its 16th No. 1, the first time since the Titanic soundtrack in 1998 that a release has topped the list as many times. As Billboard notes, only three albums in the last 20 years have had more weeks at No. 1: Billy Ray Cyruss Some Gave All, which had 17 in 1992; Garth Brookss Ropin the Wind, with 18 in 1991 and 1992; and the soundtrack to The Bodyguard, with 20 in 1992 and 1993.). In notching its 16th No. 1, 21 equals that 1998 movie soundtrack album.
