Christians, is daredeviling a way of testing God which Jesus said not to do?
What would be the purpose of risking ones life like this. Most likely the daredevils die doing their act somewhere along the lines, but that certainly showed he was overcoming fears. Are you afraid of heights, I am.

Answer: I watched the guy walk across the falls last night...he kept repeating "Thank you Jesus". I'm sure he is a sincere man, but I agree, to thrill seek with the life God gave you, the temple of the Holy Spirit, is not a christian way of life in my opinion. We are to be good stewards of ourselves and the rest of God's creation. Risking your life for a frivolous thing like a daredevil stunt is not christian behaviour...shoot, the word devil is even in the word itself!

Nik Wallenda has just successfully walked across the Niagara few minutes. Hehaaa!
But why was also always saying Thank you Jesus "Thank you Father Lord" ... etc.?
What was the purpose?
Answer: He used the stunt in part to promote his religious beliefs. I liked how the ABC network ignored it for the most part and even muted him in some parts of the walk.
Not to discount his achievement, but the reason he made it across was mainly thanks to science and engineering. For example, the wire was specially designed to remain steady in the winds and to allow for enough grip given the wet conditions. It would have been nice had he at least once thanked the engineers and training assistance during the walk.
Also, the long balancing pole makes falling to the left or right pretty much impossible, the challenge is not to fall forwards or backwards, and not to cramp up or take a misstep. His specially made shoes give a lot of friction against the wire making slipping unlikely. There is a lot of physics involved that makes a seemingly impossible task very possible. It would have been probably more difficult for him to walk across a 50 foot wire 1 foot off the ground in running shoes and without a balancing poll.
He also was forced to wear a tether, although I understand he wanted to do it without the tether, it at least indicates how much the sponsors believe that a deity would protect him from falling.

Hey guys I was just wondering if you could answer this. My school year is almost over and we have to do this end of year report with a partner about someone who changed history. The teacher assigned me and my friend to do a report on nik wallenda. I need to know what side did he begin walking on when he did the walk across the falls and where did his great grandfather or grandfather fall? Thanks ya :) (: p.s. Im not trying to cheat but I just want to verify the information I got. Thnx so much :)
Answer: He walked from the United States to Canada and had his passport with him. It was on June 15th 2012. I believe his great grandfather died in Puerto Rico when he attempted to cross from one building to another because it was very windy and the equipment was not prepared for those weather conditions.
